We
are open for the Snowdrop Festival in conjunction with Scotland's
Gardens Scheme for
a huge range of benefiting charities, amongst them Marie Curie Cancer Care,
The Queens Nursing Institute, help the Hospices (www.ngs.org.uk). Dunskey Snowdrops were sold at Covent Garden, being some of the earliest in the country, until the demise of the 'paddy', the overnight sleeper train to Euston. Dunskey Walled Garden will be open each weekend starting on February 2nd, 10.30 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. Signed SNOWDROP walks and SEASONS TEAROOM (warming soups, light lunches and delicious cakes). The MAZE, thought to be the first in South West Scotland, will be open for you to lose yourself in. |

In addition, there is a display of sculptures by Elizabeth Waugh - a delightful surprise to be found round the corners of this enchanting garden. A FUN, interesting Snowdrop Day at Dunskey Gardens on Friday 15th February, 10 a.m. Come and learn about Snowdrops and Spring Bulbs Fascinating, illustrated talks by Lady Erskine of Cambo Estate; Scotland's foremost Snowdrop gardens and Paul Matthews of Glasgow Botanics, who has been on plant forays to Turkey. A snowdrop lunch with wine and after lunch a gentle Field Walk with the experts. Learn about these brave heralds of the New Year. Plants for sale, in the McKenzie and Moncur Glassshouses from Galloway Plants.
